Number of meals provided to children who otherwise would not eat
FOLKS’ mission is to respond to the unmet needs of nutrition, education, water and sanitation, and gender violence among children and teens in Kibera. Through charitable contributions, we have provided over 2,300 hot meals, scholarships for over 20 children’s education, mentorship, and business development programs for the parents. In addition, we offer sports programs to encourage team building, physical education, and camaraderie among the children.
The Charitable organizations such as FOLKS are a source of hope for the future of children and their families living in Kibera. We rely heavily on volunteers and donors so we can touch hearts and transform lives one child at a time.
